Toxicology LHAMA, Microbiology (USP61,62, USP51), MSDS

The full name of LHAMA is "Labeling of Hazardous Art Materials Act", which refers to the United States Federal Code 15 USC 1277, or Public Law 100-695. It was promulgated on November 18, 1988 and came into effect on November 18, 1990. LHAMA defines art materials and stipulates that art material manufacturers or repackaging sellers should submit ingredient formulas for art materials to the committee to determine whether the art material or its ingredients pose potential chronic health hazards, At the same time, the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standard ASTM D-4236 (Practice for Labeling Art Materials for Chronic Health Hazards) is designated as a mandatory standard for LHAMA testing in the labeling of art materials. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) regulation 16 CFR 1500.14 (b) (8) (i) also stipulates that art materials should be LHAMA certified in accordance with ASTM D-4236 standard.

USP61/62, also known as USP 34:2011 and General Chapter 61&62, was established and promulgated by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP).

USP61 "Microbial Examination of Non Sterile Products: Microbial Count Test".

USP62 "Microbial Examination of Non Sterile Products: Specific Microbial Testing.".

Tip: Microbial quality control for drugs/cosmetics/daily chemical products is also regulated in different countries and regions. In the European Union, the microbiological quality control of drugs and preparations needs to comply with the provisions of the European Pharmacopoeia (EP). In China, the microbiological quality control of drugs and preparations needs to comply with the provisions of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia (ChP). Therefore, before conducting product testing, local regulations should be carefully studied to ensure that the product meets applicable requirements and standards.

MSDS is the abbreviation for Material Safety Data Sheet in English. Its Chinese name is Chemical Safety Data Sheet, which is commonly translated as Material Safety Data Sheet. The United States, Canada, Australia, and many Asian countries are generally referred to as MSDS, while ISO, Europe, and China are referred to as SDS (Safety Data Sheet).

According to the legal requirements of different countries, the content of MSDS varies. The European Union, ISO, US OSHA, ANSI, and China require MSDS (SDS) to include 16 items.
